Myachi Trivia Tonight

So during the last couple of brawls, a couple of the cats had a pretty cool idea and played a little Myachi Jeopardy.  I'd forwarded a couple of them some advance copies of the spreadsheet we're using to create the Sackthology and they were using the trivia tidbits I'd written for each sack as questions.

It was actually really fun but there were a few problems.  Some of the questions were too easy and some were too hard and some were just out there because they weren't really written as trivia questions.  But even with the problems it was still mad fun.  I, as it turns out, am a big fan of mad fun.

So I decided to try a little more structured version of the same thing during the brawl tonight.  At 7 pm (1 hour after the brawl begins) I'll be hosting a little Myachi trivia game complete with a Myachi for a grand prize.

We'll basically follow the Jeopardy format, although I won't make anyone phrase anything in the form of a question.  We'll do 3 rounds.  The first round will be easy and questions will be worth 100 to 400 points (3 categories with 4 questions each).  In the second round they'll be worth 200 to 800 points with three totally different categories.

The final round will be done via private messaging and may take a minute to work out.  Everyone will get the category and then they'll have to PM me their wager.  Then I'll give the question and everyone has to PM me their answer so it'll probably be a big tornado of people trying to figure out why I didn't get their PM for a few minutes, but we'll work it out.

So if this sounds like something you'd be into, you have to be on the chat at 7 PM.  You have to be able to stay on the chat for at least 30 minutes or so too.  If you have to leave in the middle of the game we'll hold your points but we can't pause the game for you to get back.  If we do that it'll probably never end.  believe me, I remember how hard it was to get 3 people on at once for the JOTYA award choices.

All the questions will come from things that have been discussed on the Myachi Blog before.  It hasn't been around all that long so if you want to be prepared for the game tonight, study up on some of the past articles here.  Especially the ones that refer to Myachi History or the Myachi Masters.  If you're on the Myachi forum that'll give you some help but don't bother trying to memorize the All Sacks List or anything.  That won't help.

One thing that will help is to check out the quizzes we have on our Facebook page.  I'll be lifting a couple of questions directly from those quizzes so that will help as well.

If you want in, be on the Myachi Chatroom at or before 7 PM.  You won't need a webcam to participate because all answers will have to be typed out.  You'll just need to know Myachi like the back of your hand.  (Sorry... couldn't resist)
