Contest Updates

by Crazy Ivan

Just a quick reminder for everyone who doesn't have enough Myachis.  I absolutely love giving away Myachis and as luck would have it, it happens to be part of my job.

We have 3 contests going on right now and two of those suckers are going to have prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.  That's 7 prizes altogether and one of them includes a shirt and a hat.  So here's what we've got going on so far:

#1) Myachi Art Contest: Draw the Glyph

This one raps up over the weekend which gives you 3 days and change to get in on it.  Your mission (if you choose to accept it) is to draw, paint, carve, sculpt or otherwise render the Myachi Glyph or an image that incorporates the Myachi Glyph... you know, this glyph:

Twice as many swooshes as Nike and the little lightening bolt Z thing in the middle...

Now keep in mind, I'm only talking about the logo under the name here.  That's the glyph, but strangely I don't have a picture of just the glyph on my desktop.  Luckily, this contest will solve that problem altogether.

1st place in this thing will get a limited edition 1 of 150 "SYD" Myachi (a made in Pakistan Myachi notorious for wide-boarding) and 2nd and 3rd place winners will win a brand spanking new 5.0 Myachi of their choice.

For this contest I'd much rather see something that you created with your hands than something that you created with your computer, but we will accept all mediums and you can enter as many times as you'd like.  And despite the fact that there are only 3 days left to enter, I have very few entries so there's a really good chance of winning.

Remember, you don't have to be an award winning artist to win.  But if you win, you actually will be an award winning artist!

 #2) You-Tube Contest: Best Video

This is a huge contest with one of the greatest prize packages we've ever put together.  We're looking for a star on You Tube and whoever it is will win a huge Myachi prize package with a retail value of over $79.99!  One penny over that, to be exact!

We're looking for an awesome video between 1 and 3 minutes that focuses on Myachi and people shredding with Myachi.  The more creative the better.  We're breaking down the videos in 3 ways:

  • 25% of the score will be determined by how ORIGINAL the video is.
  • 25% of the score will be determined by the QUALITY of the video, lighting, editing, etc.
  • 50% of the score will be determined by the SKILLS shown on the video.
You can see all the rules and stipulations by clicking here.

There are already a couple of really solid videos, but keep in mind that there are prizes for 2nd and 3rd place as well so don't let a really good video scare you away from the competition.  Also, keep in mind that half of the score is on skills and half is on the video itself, so whatever your talent is you stand a good chance...

 #3) Follow Us Giveaway

And last but not least is a giveaway we started the day the blog went public.  The first 50 people who sign up to "Follow Us" on the Myachi Blog are entered to win a really ridiculously awesome limited edition Pakisack.  And I know those of you who are really into the game are saying "All Myachis are limited edition so why bother adding that", and to you I shamefully admit that it just sounds cooler if I say "limited edition Pakisack".

Room is rapidly running out to get in on this one.  Well, not rapidly so much, but running out for sure.  Last I checked we had 39 followers so 11 more people can still get in on this.  So if you haven't signed up for this one, by all means, it's the easiest Myachi you could ever win and you have a 2% of taking it home.

Just sign up with your Google account.  When you see your name (or nickname or whatever) in the box to the right that says "followers", you're in.

So that's everything we've got going right now.  Be on the lookout for "Myachi Trivia" coming again next Wednesday on the brawl.  There will be a free 5.0 going to the winner on that as well and look for a new contest to be announced between now and then.
